Hebi No Mi Mixology Bar

Toronto, ON. Canada
About
In Toronto, Hebi no Mi, “the fruit of the serpent” in Japanese, unfolds as a clandestine experience where a mixology bar serves as a refined antechamber, before revealing, behind an almost ritualistic mirror, a master sushi restaurant concealed in the shadows.

The architecture, inspired by the codes of the prohibition era, orchestrates a sequence of hidden spaces where wood, crafted through traditional Japanese joinery, engages in dialogue with timeless stone, while a soft, filtered light, diffused through paper lanterns, pays homage to the celebration of shadow dear to Junichiro Tanizaki.

Within this setting, the mixologist becomes a calligrapher, each cocktail, precise and expressive, is a controlled gesture that inscribes a lasting emotion, transforming the act of tasting into a memory deeply etched in themind.
